Vodka
Vodka (or vodka) is one of the simplest spirits, but it is multifaceted.
The raw materials used include potatoes, rye, corn, grapes, barley, sugar cane or barley. After mashing and fermentation with yeast, the vodka is distilled.
With modern distillation columns, very pure and almost tasteless distillates can be produced through continuous and repeated distillation.
Finally, the filtering of the spirit is decisive for the subsequent taste. Flavored variants are now also being produced by mixing the pure distillate with fruits, spices, extracts or essences or adding aromatic oils.
