Regional and cross-regional
Since 1962, the focus has been on regionality and the mature and professional cooperation with our apple suppliers.
We support projects such as the apple mango project of the "Third World Partner" (TWP) which was awarded by the Federal Republic of Germany in 2002 in the category:
Globally networked locally active. (highest award)
The point is that mango farmers in the Philippines get the highest price for their mangoes directly from the TWP and we in turn obtain the mango puree directly from the TWP (fair trade) and mix it with our apple juice to make our fair trade apple mango.
The regional apple farmers participating in the system also receive a better price for their apples.
Since the German TV series "Tatort Manila" of 1998, the Cologne crime scene commissioners - Behrend and Bär - have been the godparents for this apple mango project.
Since 2002, we have been generating more electricity from our in-house solar systems than we need for production and sales.
We have always relied on the reusable bottle system. So we have been carbon neutral since 2002.
Our winery produces part of our apple juice with our own fruit cultivation.
We are Demeter-certified since 1996, and around 80 percent of the apple juice we produce is organic, Demeter or organic countryside apple juice.
We completely refrain from using dessert fruit to produce our apple juice and cider. We press about 10,000 liters per hour.
Due to this very fast juicing, the juice has low oxidation and we get the desired TOP quality.
We exclusively sell premium juice (first pressing).
Our specialties are our juices and ciders.
We supply “Demeter” apple juice from our own cultivation.
